Now Plan Your Forward Journey from Train Compartment

Most of the stations in India are strategically located away from the hustle and bustle of main city centre. Lying in the outskirts of the city, these become important centres for the passengers. A healthy industry is developing around these stations in India and it is the transport industry. Passengers need to reach the main city and there are autos and taxis waiting outside the station to take them there. Most of the stations have good communication systems with the main city they serve, but there are exceptions though.

In normal situations, the passengers are not in a position to bargain or opt for cheaper modes of transport. When you have heavy luggage and other family members accompanying you, you have no other choices but to pay the charges asked for the taxi or auto operators. Many operators take undue advantage of these situations and overcharge the passengers regularly. This is a cause of concern for passengers across most stations in India. Problem is that there is no uniform rate chart with such operators and they are free to charge whatever they wish. As a result, the passengers have to end up paying many times more than the exact fare.

Taxi Booking Services for Rail Passengers

Indian trains operate all round the clock; there are trains that arrive in odd hours – first thing in the morning, at midnight or at other very odd timings. If you get down at a station at 12 midnight, you might not find any transport medium, no matter how much you are willing to pay. It is a troublesome as well as dangerous situation to be in. From another angle, there are some stations which do not have adequate connectivity with the main city, in such instances passengers have to carry their luggage for many kilometres or pay the coolies lump sum money, to reach the transport depot.

Has the above mentioned instances frightened you? Are you in deep thought? Chill out, at RailYatri we have already thought of such instances and found an ideal solution to overcome such transport problems. Our app offers booking of taxi services for passengers from the train compartment, or after booking the tickets. The fare system is transparent, as we have partnered with reputed taxi services such as Taxi for Sure, Celo Cabs, Apple Cabs and Flash Cabs.
